SINCE 2007

The State of Berlin has tens of thousands of green spaces, trees, playgrounds, cycle paths, city fountains, architectural monuments, etc., all of which belong to the public domain and are documented, archived and made available for various information systems by the Senate Departments. In order to cope with the enormous amount of assets, the Senate Department for Urban Development was looking for a professional DAM solution and an experienced DAM partner.

They chose Canto Cumulus and DAM United. The experienced experts implemented the system and took care of all customizations and enhancements as well as consulting, training and support. The collaboration has been extremely successful and has extended to other administrations.

Today, DAM United is a partner of the Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing, the Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection and the State Monuments Office. They currently manage about 380,000 assets in the Digital Asstet Management System.

Canto Cumulus was deployed as a server application that interfaces with the Senate’s intranet, administrative procedures (e.g., green space information), and the Internet to play assets and their metadata. In particular, indexing and thus the quick retrieval of searched assets brings efficiency and speed to requests for publications and administration-specific processes.

‘DAM United is our partner of many years in all questions around our DAM solution. We appreciate the fast response to questions, the fast and high-quality implementation of our wishes, the familiarity with the system and the always very efficient cooperation.’
